Residents of Stanstead Abbotts will be able to enjoy free parking for the next year thanks to a local business.
French and Jupps, who specialise in malt production, have stumped up £7,500 in the hope of attracting more visitors to the village.
An all-day ticket used to cost £2 but now there will be no more pay-and-display tickets.

Hertford resident Jim Thornton has written Elections on a Shoestring along with the leading environmental activist Tamsin Omond. The content of the guide was compiled from ideas sent in from around the country.
The final application deadline for parents to put their children’s names down for places at reception, junior of middle schools for this Setptember will be at midnight today (Saturday 15 January).
